婦疑飲涼茶後亡　死因庭跟進

【本報訊】44歲女病人疑飲涼茶後因肝衰竭前日在瑪麗醫院不治，死者曾在4月至5月於葵涌同壽堂涼茶舖購買廿四味及感冒茶服用，病人親友懷疑飲涼茶出事。衞生防護中心指，知悉主診醫生已將個案交死因裁判官跟進。涉事店舖負責人弟弟葉先生大呼冤枉，指無證據證明涼茶導致女病人死亡，而警方、食環署和衞生署亦無要求他協助調查。

同壽堂稱繼續營業證清白

葉先生指近日生意慘淡，不想關門惹街坊疑慮，堅持繼續營業以證清白。他指店舖開業多年一直無問題，自己亦有飲用店舖涼茶，要求當局查明真相。現時同壽堂繼續售賣涼茶，食環署無回應如何確保沒有其他不適個案，僅稱該處無證售賣涼茶，已向有關負責人提出檢控。根據紀錄，涉事店舖去年12月中向署方申請涼茶許可證。
葉先生反駁指店舖申請了半年許可證，但署方遲遲不處理，又指署方原本處理申請的職員轉跟進其他個案，店舖申請則無人跟進。衞生防護中心指，個案交死因裁判官跟進，但仍未釐清病人服用涼茶是否導致女病人肝衰竭死亡的原因。
女死者今年4月至5月曾到同壽堂飲用廿四味與感冒茶後不適，其後被診斷為肝衰竭，急需換肝。死者親友將聲稱是購自同壽堂的感冒茶交政府化驗所化驗，發現含有西藥撲熱息痛及氯苯那敏成份。但衞生署與食環署再到店舖抽樣化驗就未驗出含有西藥。
