婦肝病亡裁定死於自然:

【本報訊】中年高級女文員三年前患上原發性膽汁性肝硬化，到瑪麗醫院求醫，初被安排進行換肝手術的評估，8個月後被列入換肝名單時，病情急轉直下，最後死於急性肝衰竭。陪審團昨一致裁定她死於自然，死者丈夫批評院方制度混亂延醫，待與律師商討才決定會否追討賠償。死因庭陪審團昨建議院方在給予肝病病人的指引，加入由測試到排名，以致換肝手術的流程圖，並詳細列出入選換肝名單、屍肝分配的準則，以及加入諮詢途徑。此外，除了在醫生口中得知換肝名單外，醫院須向病人發出書面確認。

建議醫院更改指引

社區組織協會病人權益幹事彭鴻昌昨表示，病人對換肝的計分方法及何時換肝也不清楚，反映瑪麗醫院換肝中心不注重病人的知情權，另外是欠缺屍肝，希望事件喚起市民對捐贈器官的關注。

死者佘季芳（49歲）於06年12月發現患上肝病，到瑪麗求診，翌年2月1日入院，其後診斷為原發性膽汁性肝硬化，被安排進行換肝的評估。至3月5日，院方安排佘出院。其丈夫趙復新曾多次陪佘到肝內外科覆診，但他曾供稱內外科不協調，對於其妻是否在換肝名單，院方一直不作正面回應。至9月6日佘再次入院，病情惡化，8日後轉深切治療部，在同月17日死亡。佘的主診醫生曾指，懷疑佘因服食中藥引起肝炎，有機會自行好轉，無逼切性將她放入換肝名單。
