病亡裁定死於自然:

【 本 報 訊 】 年高級文員三年前患上原發膽汁性肝硬化,到瑪麗醫求醫,初被安排進行換肝手術評估,8個月後被列入換肝名單時,病情急轉直下,最後死於急性肝衰竭。陪審團昨一致裁定她死於自然,死者丈夫批評院方制度混亂延醫,待與律師商討才決定會否追討賠償。庭陪審團昨建議院方在給予肝病病人的指引,加入由測試到排名,以致換肝手術的流程圖,並詳細列出入選換肝名單、屍肝分配的準則,以及加入諮詢途徑。此外,除了在醫生口中得知換肝名單外,醫院須向病人發出書面確認。



建議醫院更改指引

社區組織協會病人權益幹事彭鴻昌昨示,病人對換肝的計分方法及何時換肝也不清楚,反映瑪麗醫院換肝中心不注重病人的知情權,另外欠缺屍肝,希望事件喚起市民對捐贈器官的關注。

死者佘季芳(49歲)於06年12月發現患上肝病,到瑪麗求診,翌年2月1日入院,其後診斷為原發性膽汁性肝硬化,被安排進行換肝的評估。至3月5日,院方安排佘出院。其丈夫趙復新曾次陪佘到肝內外科覆診,但他曾供稱內外科不協調,對於其妻是否在換肝名單,院方一直不作正面回應。至9月6日佘再次入院,病情惡化,8日後轉深切治療部,在同月17日死亡。佘的主診醫生曾指,懷疑佘因服食中藥引起肝炎,有機會自行好轉,無逼切性將她放入換肝名單。

ultrafast rendezvous to ISS
