他根據郊野義務搜索隊CVST的分析資料，周二當日下午1時許，於老鼠田坑一帶利用航拍機拍攝山野15分鐘，希望能透過影像發現曾憲哲蹤影。然而由於圖片眾多而且時間有限，因此未有仔細查閲。直至昨日曾憲哲獲救後，李偉鵬再仔細查看當日於現場一帶拍攝的過千照片，猶如大海撈針般逐張逐張放大「聞相」，赫然在其中一組照片中，發現曾憲哲赤身裸體的蹤影。

土地測量師李偉鵬稱：「(今次航拍機)鏡片是有根據透視幾何，結構是散射式，所以出現斜位，所謂斜望的效果，在側面斜看見到這位人士。我在不同地方都介紹這新技術，而無人機這五至十年的普及得很快。政府和非牟利機構將來多些合作，可以利用群眾資源，市民又能幫手。」
