colorlight卡萊特 5A-75B and i5 v7.0

colorlight 5A-75B( 8 HUB75 ports), 5A-75E(16HUB75 ports)

based on lattice semi ECP5-25F, used as LED Panel 卡萊特接收卡( meaning LED panel controller),

These are known as a "Receiver Card". Its main function is to receive and forward framebuffer data using a proprietary protocol (from a "Sender Card") and send out control signals to LED panels (via shields, like a HUB75 shield).

This 5A-75 receiver card has been out for a few years, and getting less popular now.

Usually The system consists of 2 parts, one is sending part made up of sending card; and receiving part made up of receiving cards.   There is  2 kinds of control  systems, one is Synchronous control system, the other is asynchronous.  Widely used Synchronous control cards are Linsn(using Spartan 6), Novastar(using Spartan 6), popular asynchronous cards are control Dbstar(using Spartan-6 Altera) and HD.

Synchronous card will synchronously display what is shown on your PC to the LED Display you set up. You need to keep your PC powered on and then sending card can receive content from you PC, and then it will distribute the content to receiver card, finally the LED screen will display what is sent from the receiver card.


For asynchronously control system,  first, you edit the display content on your PC, and then save it to U-disk or to a remote server.  The asynchronous sending card will read the content from U-disk or remote server and distribute the content to receiver cards.

v6.0和v7.0的區別:引腳上沒有任何區別,只不過v7.0是全新的,v6.0原廠已經停產,目前是二手的,只剩下5片左右。

特別說明:模組上的Flash 8 pin 芯片使用的是GD25Q16(U31),疑似有寫保護,無法將bitstream燒錄至Flash芯片中(燒錄到FPGA內部SRAM中是可以的),解決此問題最簡單的方法是自行將Flash芯片更換爲W25Qxx系列芯片如W25Q128。

發貨默認不焊小黑夾,默認送兩個2x15的彎針母座。
