南極亮星巡天望遠鏡BSST

 南极亮星巡天望远镜(BBST)主镜口径30cm,对角线视场4.8度,含有7个滤光片,观测波段为0.36~1.01μm。计划充分利用南极地区的优良台址条件,寻找出一批短周期(几天)和中短周期(几十天到一个月)轨道上的太阳系外行星。该望远镜在丽江站试观测初步结果显示,南极亮星巡天望远镜像质优秀,在R波段120秒曝光观测极限星等17.5,信噪比20;V波段120秒曝光极限星等16,信噪比40。


 2016年4月1日,经过十几天艰苦的安装调试之后,"南极亮星巡天望远镜"(简称BSST)在中国南极中山站正式初光,用BSST望远镜拍摄了杜鹃座47球状星团,效果非常理想,这标志着BSST正式在南极中山站投入实际观测。

BSST的最终安装地点是南极昆仑站(S80º25'01" E77º06'58"),因为过去十几年的研究结果表明,南极昆仑站由于其独特的地理位置,非常适合于光学天文观测,如极佳的视宁度、低的大气边界层、连续黑夜等。从2008年开始,我国天文学家陆续在南极昆仑站从事天文设备的安装和天文观测。实际的台址监测和望远镜观测结果表明了昆仑站台址的优越性。但是南极昆仑站自然环境恶劣,最低温度达到了-80°C,海拔4087米,这对望远镜的正常稳定运行影响极大。针对南极恶劣的环境条件,对BSST望远镜的各个系统进行了优化设计并进行了严苛的试验,顺利完成各项功能。

ultrafast rendezvous to ISS

    14 Oct 2020,  being the first to use a new “ultrafast” rendezvous” scheme with the ISS.
