Omicron 變種病毒, 個案12433


 

 本港第一宗Omicron輸入個案為一名36歲男子(12388),居於青衣藍澄灣5座,他10月23日離開香港前往南非。他乘搭航班QR818於11月11日返抵香港,抵港時於香港國際機場臨時樣本採集中心抽取樣本進行的檢測結果呈陰性。他於指定檢疫酒店進行檢疫期間的樣本結果呈陽性,之後入住赤鱲角富豪機場酒店檢疫。

第二宗涉及62歲男子(編號12404),11月10日由加拿大抵港,入住赤鱲角富豪機場酒店,在同月20日確診。他在4月及5月分別在港接種兩劑復必泰疫苗。兩人均入住該酒店同層,同樣感染N501Y變種病毒。

本港第3宗Omicron輸入個案為一名37歲男子(12432),沒有病徵,11月24日由尼日利亞經埃塞俄比亞和泰國抵港,是於北角華美達盛景酒店檢疫期間確診,驗出帶N501Y變異病毒株,經基因排序顯示屬Omicron,他分別於9月和10月,在尼日利亞完成接種兩劑莫德納疫苗。

個案12433的調查進展,該名38歲男病人於十一月二十四日從卡塔爾經航班QR818抵港等候轉機。他因簽證相關問題於機場限制區逗留,並於十一月二十七日於香港國際機場禁區內進行離境前檢測,結果呈陽性。

病人並未接種2019冠狀病毒病疫苗,他沒有病徵,入院後於十一月二十七日進行的檢測對抗體呈陽性反應,入院後進行的三次檢測Ct值為30-36。

根據衞生署公共衞生化驗服務處進行的全基因組測序分析結果,確認個案帶有值得關切的變異病毒株Omicron。

進一步流行病學調查顯示,病人於十一月十五日從巴布亞新幾內亞前往尼日利亞,其後從卡塔爾到港。他在香港國際機場逗留期間曾到訪的地方已於十一月二十九日納入強制檢測公告。

任何於指定期間曾身處相關指明地方內的人士,須在十二月一日或之前接受強制檢測。暫時未有錄得相關確診個案。香港至今共錄得四宗涉及Omicron的個案,兩宗與南非相關,另外兩宗與尼日利亞相關。

Studies showed that the Omicron strains have evolved into 3 lineages, namely BA.1, BA.2 and BA.3. The most common lineage is the BA.1, according to the article. 

The BA.2 lineage has been nicknamed 'Stealth Omicron' because it differs from the 'standard' variety by not having the characteristic SGTF (Spike gene target failure) which makes it difficult to detect.

43歲女子,她從巴基斯坦抵港後於油麻地香港海景絲麗酒店進行強制檢疫,期間進行的六次檢測均呈陰性。完成強制檢疫後返回深水埗大坑東道83號大坑東邨東滿樓。她其後於社區檢測中心採集的樣本檢測結果呈陽性。

是首宗帶有被稱為隱形版Omicron病毒株BA.2的社區個案,擔心會引發新一波疫情。

In April 2022 the WHO announced it was tracking BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants with BA.4 having been detected in South Africa, Botswana, Denmark, Scotland and England.Early indications from data collected in South Africa suggested BA.4 and BA.5 have a significant growth advantage over BA.2. In addition, there were two new subvariants detected in New York State, USA, which are BA.2.12 and BA.2.12.1,both of which have a significant growth advantage of 23-27% over BA.2 and contributing to a rise in infections in central New York State, centred on Syracuse and Lake Ontario.


 South Africa:

Before we move on, let's be clear that, at present, our main scenario for Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 is that it increases infections but that DOES NOT translate into large hospitalizations and deaths as high population immunity in SA and empty ICUs.

ultrafast rendezvous to ISS
