ingredients:
Marks & Spencers chunky vegetable & 3 bean soup
red lentil 紅扁豆100g
pearl barley洋薏米 40g
700 ml water
chicken stock cube 1/2
serving size: 3 to 6
preparation:
soak pearl barley 15 minutes with 200 ml of water
soak red lentil with 100 ml of water, for 15 minutes
cooking:
boil soaked pearl barley together with water for 15 minutes, or until boil
add the can of soup, soaked lentils, chicken stock cube and 700 ml of water for 5 minutes
check pearl barley if softened to your palette. If not, lower the heat and boil longer, say 5 minutes
add salt and pepper to taste
