CEM 25-P was discontinued in late 2020, and is replaced by CEM 26.
basically the major mechanical parts are the same.
on CEM 26, the worm wheel, shaft and bearing are the same as in CEM-25P.
The period error is still < +/- 10 arc sec
the payload is basically the same 12 kg ( 12.3 kg on CEM-25P)
The major difference is the built-in Wi-Fi for connecting to apps. (Star Fi is a USD 50 )
Well the built-in GPS is now removed
The maximum slew speed is now faster, at 6 degrees per second ( vs 4 on CEM25p)
Another difference is the DEC and RA bearing clutch, which was done by using 2 knobs in CEM25p, now you unlock the bearing by a single switch ( same as in CEM 40 and CEM70)
The hand controller is updated to 8049 ( which has a serial port at bottom for firmware upgrade, and computer control, same as in CEM25p)
iPolar scope is still an option.
There is now a place holder on the side of dovetail saddle, which is for the mini guiding scope iGuider 1 which is good for up to 600 ~ 800 mm focal length.
iGuide is standard feature in CEM70G
suggested max load capacity:
1. Visual payload capacity 12kg
2. Recommended imaging payload capacity 9kg
3. Recommended scope size 6 inch (though that would change with the length also - people have used 8 inch for visual).
the official basic feature price is now USD 998 ( vs USD 948 in CEM25p)
